The Cyprus Pedagogical Institute (CPI) recently delivered a series of face-to-face training workshops on Artificial Intelligence in Education for more than 220 education executives of the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth.
Held between 31 August and 11 September 2026, the workshops aimed to establish a foundational understanding of AI in education, aligned with national policy and guidance on the responsible and ethical use of AI, as well as relevant European and international frameworks. Participants explored key concepts related to AI and Generative AI, AI literacy, critical thinking, and the safe and human-centred use of AI in educational contexts.
This national-scale initiative reflects the wider objectives of AIDEA to strengthen AI literacy and support the responsible, ethical and pedagogically meaningful integration of AI in education. Through the involvement of partners such as CPI, AIDEA connects European collaboration and research with capacity-building actions at national level.
